Tiger Airways seat sale

by on March 4, 2008

Tiger Airways has come onboard with its own seat sales for the period between June 1 to Sept 30, offering rates as low as 9.68 US dollars for a one way trip to Macau. They’re actually advertising their fares to different cities from Singapore, with fares ranging from 19.99 to 29.99 Singapore dollars one way, but if you look at the flights departing from Clark you’ll get a few interesting deals:

Clark to Darwin – $58 = 2378 pesos

Clark to Perth – $71 = 2911 pesos

Clark to Macau – $10 = 410 pesos

Clark to Singapore – $13 = 533 pesos

All these fares are quoted in dollars and may not be the cheapest fares available, but they were the cheapest I could find for the time being. If anyone spots fares that are lower be sure to let us know so we can update the post accordingly. Also, Please remember that fuel and tax surcharges are never included in these sale prices so always look to add around 2000 or so pesos to the sale price to get a better idea of the total amount you’ll be paying. This is the cheapest fare I’ve seen for a direct flight to Macau since Cebu Pacific’s crazy 1 peso sale last year. It was so crazy the 1 peso flights for Macau were sold out within hours, and we were forced to get tickets to Shanghai (which turned out to be a blessing in disquise, as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in Shanghai).

As with Air Asia’s seat sale, Singapore is a gateway to a host of other destinations, so you might want to check out the other destinations available from Singapore when deciding where to go for your next vacation. They have flights to Melbourne, Chiangmai, Bangalore and much more so there’s endless opportunities for travel experiences. The downside is that Tiger Airways is a little less helpful than Air Asia in ferrying people to the Clark Airport, but maybe you could simply ride the bus that Air Asia uses as well. The sale’s from March 3 to March 10 or until the sale tickets run out, so you better hurry if you want to score some cheap seats!
